#SixSunday: Virgo (WIP)-Dance Club Scene #3

Thanks so much to everyone who commented last week. I apologize for not replying to anyone. It was a weird day…lame excuse, but it was. Things are definitely getting interesting. I hope to tell you all about it soon.

Anyhow, it’s Sunday, so on with my six! Last week, Delilah showed interest in Adam’s remix of a Rolling Stone classic before disappearing into a dark stairwell.

A minute later, Delilah hopped up the steps to the riser. Sam tapped his cheap digital watch twice and then flashed three fingers. She glanced at hers—an Omega face secured to her wrist with baby blue nylon—and nodded slightly. While looking at her laptop screen, she removed the foam plugs in her ears and put on her headphones. She walked her fingers through a milk crate of records, and his breath caught as she picked out Led Zeppelin III. She had never done that remix in public.

Please check out the other authors at Six Sentence Sunday. Some of my favorites are Jayel KayeSarah BallanceKrystal WadeMonica Enderle PierceSiobhan MuirSarah W., and Pippa Jay.

Writers! Participation in SSS is straightforward. Submit a link to the host site between 6:00 pm Tuesday and 11:59 pm on Saturday. Post a six sentence excerpt on your blog by 9 am Eastern (US) on Sunday.

  1. I love the visual of the milk crate of records. I love my vinyl records, and am always surprised when I encounter an older person who's surprised people of my age and younger still buy them or prefer them over CDs.
